Winter in Queensland …. Just in case winter in your part of the world is cold and bleak
This has nothing to do with writing …. Although I did ponder how, with this view from my weekend accommodation at Coolangatta, Queensland’s most southerly town on the Gold Coast before the New South Wales border, a writer might conjure up dark and fantastic worlds or grim and horrific murders in crime fiction. It was bright, around 23 degrees C, an almost cloudless sky, bathed in bright sunshine. It was weather designed to brighten any mood.
Slightly to the north is one of the famous surf breaks at Kirra but it was not really turning it on for the surfing fraternity.
I’ve posted this for the sheer enjoyment of place.
